Subscribe Update your profileSpray polyurethane foam (SPF) is one of the fastest growing building insulation products. SPF can help reduce energy use in buildings. Up to 40 percent of U.S. energy demand is consumed by buildings, and according to the U.S. Department of Energy, as much as 40 percent of a building's energy is lost due to air infiltration. SPF performs as both an insulation material and an air sealing product. Utility cost savings of 30 – 50 percent are possible in buildings insulated with SPF.
Huntsman's Polyurethanes Division is a worldwide leader in the production of MDI-based polyurethane systems for energy- saving insulation products. Huntsman's MDI is used as the "A-side" in many SPF systems. Additionally, Huntsman offers a full range of SPF raw materials, including polyols, catalysts and other additives used to formulate the "B-side" of SPF systems.
