New reactive black dye for wool with no shade change in finishing
Singapore, 14 June 2016 - Huntsman Textile Effects introduces LANASOL® Black NSC dye, a technically superior black dye compared to other wool reactive blacks available in the market today.
Our latest product, LANASOL® Black NSC dye is a strong deep greenish black, like C.I. Mordant Black 9 (Chrome Black PV). It delivers enhanced reproducibility, easy application and low bluish/greenish shade change in finishing similar to chrome blacks. This new dye is formulated as a fine granule with very low dusting, allowing for easy handling, exact weighing and ideal for automated dosing systems.
For the past two decades, Huntsman Textile Effects has pioneered the development of chrome replacements on wool with a variety of LANASOL® blacks dyes. While these products are very successful in matching shade, metamerism and fastness levels of chrome dyed wool, they are still susceptible to red shade changes in wool finishing compared to Chrome Black PV. LANASOL® Black NSC dye is the first wool reactive black in the market which can withstand the most serious finishing processes like kier decatizing.
“We also recognize tighter waste water regulations and the associated health risks for workers handling chrome dyes which drives the need to move away from the outdated technology of chrome dyes. LANASOL® Black NSC dye is the natural replacement for chrome dyes as it allows for easy and trouble free re-matching of old chrome recipes.” said Franz Gruener, Global Marketing Manager, Huntsman Textile Effects.
LANASOL® Black NSC dye can be shaded with all LANASOL® CE and LANASOL® dyes, particularly LANASOL® Deep Black CE-R dye, an ideal and very economic shading element which covers the full palette of typical intensive deep blacks on wool.
