Appointment of Kent E. Kvaal as Vice President, Specialty Textiles

Singapore, 1 May 2011 - Huntsman Textile Effects is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Kent E. Kvaal as the Vice President of the business’ Specialty Textiles Business Unit.

Kent E. Kvaal is based at the Textile Effects headquarters in Singapore, and as Global Vice President of Specialty Textiles, he will continue to drive this important business unit internationally. Specialty Textiles is dedicated to providing comprehensive solutions to a demanding set of markets including specialized synthetics, automotive, woven functional fabrics, carpet, wool and nonwovens.

Prior to this appointment, Mr. Kvaal has successfully filled a number of senior positions at Huntsman Textile Effects, first as Vice President/General Manger for Textile Effects in the Americas and thereafter as Vice President, Textile Effects Global Supply Chain based in Basel, Switzerland.

Kent has progressed through series of financial, operations, sales and market, and general management roles with companies such as H.B. Fuller, Rayonier and Kimberly-Clark.

Born in the US, Mr. Kent graduated from the University of Minnesota: Curtis L. Carlson School of Management with a B.S. in Business (with high distinction) and an MBA (with honors) in Operations and Marketing.  Through Kent’s career he has gained great geographic experience, having been based in Singapore, Switzerland and numerous states in the U.S.
