Basel, Switzerland, September 14, 2006 – Huntsman’s Textile Effects business segment has launched a new range of base polymers for a wide range of technical textiles, especially those used in the home and building sectors. Suitable applications include carpet back coating, roofing textiles and binders.
“The new DICRYLAN® base polymers expand our ranges designed for price-sensitive applications and complete our offer for carpet back coating,” said Michael Effing, Vice President, Textile Effects, Region Europe, Middle East and Africa. “They provide our customers with opportunities in markets where mechanical properties are as important as cost effectiveness. The DICRYLAN® L range will also be essential to the growth of our compounding business, where customers require specific solutions.”
DICRYLAN® L coating polymers have elastic and insulation properties as well as high resistance to abrasion and ageing. The DICRYLAN® L range complies with industry environmental regulations for carpet backing.
