Nine months after acquiring the Textile Effects business from Ciba Specialty Chemicals, Huntsman launches a new concept around the list of new trade names and ranges.
Part of the acquisition deal required Huntsman to change trade names associated with the former company. This opportunity was taken to streamline the list, reduce the number of names and simplify the identification of products for our customers. Whereas trade names have changed, product suffixes remain, in most cases, unchanged.
As of July 1, 2007, a number of products will cease to exist under their familiar names but will continue to be marketed under new brands. During the transition period from April 2 to June 30, 2007 both old and new names will co-exist providing customers a time for adjustment. These three months will also enable the supply chain to ensure a smooth transition. What customers can continue to expect is the same high quality, performance and reliability they have been used to in the past. Besides the names, nothing else has changed.

Customers will receive tools specific to their needs both in electronic as well as hard copy form to help them identify new names. A name converter tool is available online.
