Make a splash with Eriofast® Navy M Dye for attractive blue shades with outstanding wet fastness
Singapore – Making it possible for textile mills to now achieve economical navy shades and royal blue with the highest standard of wet fastness, Huntsman Textile Effects has launched ERIOFAST® Navy M for polyamide (PA) and polyamide/elastane (PA/EL) blends including microfibers.
The innovative new dye meets the highest possible fastness performance requirements of the major sportswear, swimwear and lingerie brands while offering a short and simple dyeing process for brilliant navy, dull navy and intense royal blue. Unlike conventional navy dyes, which cannot achieve the required wet fastness despite costly and stiffening after-treatments, ERIOFAST® Navy M offers smooth and uniform exhaustion and delivers perfect fastness, levelness and reproducibility when used with ERIOFAST® FIX.
With high color strength and excellent build up, ERIOFAST® Navy M is the ultimate navy. It significantly widens the shade gamut of the trusted ERIOFAST® range and can be used as a
self-shade or in combination with ERIOFAST® Blue 3R or ERIOFAST® Black M to economically achieve intense royal blues and deep dull navy and bluish-black navy shades.
ERIOFAST® Navy M is ideal for premium sportswear, swimwear and lingerie. Fabrics treated with the new Huntsman Textile Effects reactive dye exhibit excellent color continuity under different light sources, durability and allow unparalleled color blocking effects for blue and white or color contrast styles. The fabrics retain their appearance and vibrant colors, even after numerous washes. Furthermore, as no additional fastness improvement with hydrophobic fixing agents is required, fabrics achieve a naturally soft, moisture-absorbing handle which is comfortable to the wearer.
In recognition of its uniqueness, ERIOFAST® Navy M has been registered as a novel dye under the internationally recognized Colour Index System administered by the U
K’s Society of Dyers and Colourists (SDC). The Huntsman breakthrough has also been nominated for an SDC Innovation Award.
“ERIOFAST® Navy M has been specifically developed to focus on the growing high-value global market for PA and PA/EL blends. As this latest addition to the ERIOFAST® range shows, Huntsman Textile Effects continues to invest in the development of new chemistries that meet the needs of the industry and the end-user,” said Stephen Gray, Global Vice President, Strategic Marketing and Planning of Huntsman Textile Effects.
ERIOFAST® Navy M is fully aligned with many industry benchmarks, including OEKO-TEX®, bluesign®, Responsible Care® and the European Union textile standards. It also complies with the listed chemicals and substances requirements from the major brands’ Restricted Substances Lists (RSL).
