Our polyether monoamines are prepared by reacting a monohydric alcohol initiator with ethylene and / or propylene oxide, followed by conversion of the resulting terminal hydroxyl group to an amine.

More recently we have developed the XTJ series of secondary polyetheramines that may contain other backbone segments instead of, or in addition to, the polypropylene glycol and polyethylene glycol structures. XTJ-505 and XTJ-507 are predominantly propylene oxide based, whereas XTJ-506 and JEFFAMINE® M-2070 are predominantly ethylene oxide based. For more on the XTJ series see diamines.
