Currently there are four JEFFAMINE® T series products, which are all propylene oxide-based triamines.

Three are primary triamines: JEFFAMINE® T-403 amine; XTJ-509; and JEFFAMINE® T-5000 amine. They are prepared by reacting propylene oxide with a triol initiator, followed by amination of the terminal hydroxyl groups.

We have also developed a secondary triamine, XTJ-586, as part of the XTJ series of polyetheramines that may contain other backbone segments instead of, or in addition to, the polypropylene glycol and polyethylene glycol structures.

XTJ products are commercial development products – for more information see diamines.
