Huntsman Advanced Materials Launches New Global Portfolio of Thermal Management Solutions for North American Electric Vehicle Market at CWIEME Chicago, September 17-18, 2019


The Woodlands, Texas – Huntsman Advanced Materials, a division of Huntsman Corporation, announces the North American launch of the portfolio of ARALDITE® epoxy resin thermal management solutions for electric vehicles, building on capabilities currently offered in Asia and Europe, giving our customers global access to products and expertise to support large-scale manufacturing in major automotive regions. In addition to the new thermal management portfolio for electric vehicles, Huntsman will be showcasing a broad portfolio of encapsulation and impregnation solutions for low, medium and high voltage applications for the power transmission and distribution market.

Included in the new product launch are material solutions designed to address the automotive industry’s most stringent requirements for thermal management in e-motors, batteries, and power electronics.

  • ARALDITE® Encapsulants - Deliver superior crack resistance and thermal conductivity enabling 25% increase in motor power, 50% increase  in reliability and 25% reduction in motor size
  • ARALDITE® Impregnation Resins – Enable 60% reduction in process time and energy cost compared to traditional industry standards
  • ARALDITE® & EPIBOND® Adhesives - Provide superior bonding solutions for magnet bonding in e-motors as well as other structural and mixed material applications
