Huntsman Advanced Materials Brings Reliable Chemistries For The Evolving Power, Electronics and E-Mobility Markets To CWIEME Berlin 2018

Huntsman Advanced Materials, stand A19, hall 1.1, CWIEME Berlin 2018, Germany, 19 - 21 June 2018

Huntsman Advanced Materials, a division of Huntsman Corporation, will present its cutting-edge epoxy and polyurethane resin technologies for improved performance, protection, safety and sustainability at CWIEME Berlin 2018. Under the theme ‘Reliable Chemistry for rEvolution’*, technical and marketing experts from Huntsman Advanced Materials will welcome visitors to booth A19 in hall 1.1. Here, the company will demonstrate how its long heritage and expertise in both the power and electronics markets is now delivering new benefits to the fast-growing e-mobility industry, through chemistries and processes that have evolved to answer wider market demands.

As the industry looks to next-generation e-mobility applications, parts displayed on the stand will highlight the evolution of the solutions developed by Huntsman Advanced Materials for power and electronics applications over the last 70 years. With the automotive industry continuing to undergo an electrical revolution, the company will demonstrate its leading technologies for a wide range of components, including high energy ignition coils and a pioneering in-wheel motor with encapsulated stator for optimized thermal management, reliability and noise dampening. Huntsman Advanced Materials will also share more information on its latest developments in epoxy encapsulation for efficient heat dissipation in electric motors, in a technical presentation held on Wednesday 20th June at 3.50pm as part of the seminar program.**

Nastassja Kelley, Global Transportation and Industrial Marketing Director at Huntsman Advanced Materials, said: “Technological advancements in the e-mobility arena are transforming the automotive market - with over 23 million hybrid and full battery electric vehicles predicted to be sold by 2025.  If this forecast is to become a reality, manufacturers need to be able to specify solutions that deliver superior performance, as well as optimal safety and protection.

“With our proven track record in delivering reliable protection and improved performance in the power and electronics sector, we have been able to leverage our technical expertise to create a market-leading portfolio of encapsulation solutions for e-mobility applications. This will enable manufacturers to drive forward their own innovation programs and stay ahead of the competition in a rapidly evolving industry.”

Illustrating its reliable chemistries for the power market, Huntsman Advanced Materials will also be showcasing a broad portfolio of encapsulation and impregnation solutions for low, medium and high voltage applications. A range of innovative finished parts featuring Araldite® branded resin systems will be displayed at the booth – including a new high filler load dry type insulation for instrument transformers, and a SVHC free future medium voltage (MV) insulator for outdoor applications. The company will also share more information on its latest anhydride-free epoxy-based vacuum pressure impregnation systems, as well as its solutions for new mica-tapes for large generators and motors, in a joint presentation with Isovolta, held on Thursday 21st June at 11:20am.**

“At Huntsman Advanced Materials, we support manufacturers in the power and electronics sectors to address their challenges, providing a wide range of technologies that enable innovation and speed-to-market in these ever-changing industries,” said Chenyu Ni, Marketing Manager Power & Electronics EMEAI at Huntsman Advanced Materials. “With more than 60 years’ experience, we have extensive expertise in developing innovative chemistries that provide a number of benefits for superior safety and performance of parts, such as high mechanical strength and excellent dielectric properties.”
