Huntsman Completes First Phase of DIGLYCOLAMINE™ Specialty Amine Capacity Expansions

THE WOODLANDS, Texas –Huntsman Corporation (NYSE:HUN) today announced that its Performance Products division completed the first phase of a multi-year debottlenecking project to expand its global DIGLYCOLAMINE™ specialty amine (DGA™ specialty amine) capacity at its manufacturing plant in Llanelli, Wales, UK. The company expects to increase its global capacity by approximately 20 percent by the first quarter of 2019, and by over 30 percent by the fourth quarter of 2020.

The product is used for purifying refinery gas streams, formulating more effective herbicides, electronic circuit board production, and in metalworking,” said Gwen Fonck, Vice President, Huntsman Performance Products, Europe, Middle East & Africa. “These investments in capacity expansion will help meet this growing demand and enhance Huntsman's manufacturing flexibility globally,” she added.
