Toyota Boshoku Presents Huntsman With Bronze Supplier Award

Award recognizes Huntsman’s help in reducing total manufacturing costs and increasing industry competitiveness

Everberg, Belgium - Huntsman Polyurethanes’ automotive team has received a Bronze Supplier Award from Toyota Boshoku Europe. The Cost category award was handed to Huntsman at a Supplier Awards Event in Brussels.

Huntsman’s award recognizes the company’s efforts to reduce the total cost of manufacturing in automotive seating applications and increase industry competitiveness for its customers. Working in close partnership, Toyota Boshoku and Huntsman Polyurethanes’ global automotive team have enabled a significant reduction in manufacturing repair / rejection rates and an increase in line efficiency at Toyota Boshoku’s European manufacturing sites.

Huntsman Polyurethanes’ automotive team also worked hand in hand with Toyota Boshoku to develop a training program for the component manufacturer’s European production team. This exercise was designed to optimize quality and reduce failure rates, and ultimately deliver differentiated value and a significant total cost reduction for Toyota Boshoku.

Niki Revesz, European Sales Director at Huntsman Polyurethanes, said: “This award is another success story for our global automotive team and reinforces our position as a bench mark supplier to the automotive seating industry.”

As part of demonstrating Huntsman’s total innovation network for the polyurethanes industry, the Huntsman Polyurethanes automotive team will be showcasing their latest innovations at UTECH Europe, which takes place in Maastricht, The Netherlands from 29 to 31 May 2018.
