Huntsman Corporation to Exhibit at the American Coatings Show
Booth #930 to highlight innovative products from Huntsman for the coatings market

THE WOODLANDS, Texas – Huntsman Corporation (NYSE: HUN) announced today it will be exhibiting at the American Coatings Show (ACS), taking place April 10 through April 12, at the Indiana Convention Center, Indianapolis, Indiana. Huntsman will showcase its innovative technologies at booth #930 during the event. Associates will be on hand to discuss the solutions for the coatings market.

Huntsman’s Advanced Materials division will unveil its range of ARA® Cool curing agents, which are designed for use in heavy-duty, industrial coatings systems. ARA® Cool curing agents have been developed in response to key challenges facing the coatings industry, namely the need for faster curing at low temperatures and reduced VOC levels. With improved processing speeds at temperatures of between 0°C and 10°C, ARA® Cool curing agents can be used to create coatings that are quick to process in cold or unpredictable weather. This functionality can help coatings professionals extend their application schedules into cooler seasons and work in meteorological conditions previously considered unviable.

With an excellent surface appearance and adhesive properties alongside a long pot life, ARA® Cool curing agents may be used in anti-corrosion and protective coatings employed in oil and gas, marine, transportation and industrial maintenance applications. Huntsman’s ARA® Cool curing agents can also be used in decorative paints. Initially, three products are available in Huntsman’s ARA® Cool range:

• ARA® Cool 3077 – a multi-purpose, low temperature, curing hardener (zero-VOC).
• ARA® Cool 1047 W 80 – a surface tolerant, low temperature, curing hardener.
• ARA® Cool 1034 XW 90 – a low temperature curing hardener with very long pot life.

Huntsman Polyurethanes will be showcasing its wide range of polyurethane products produced for the coatings industry. For the formulators, Huntsman’s RUBINATE® and SUPRASEC® isocyanates are used extensively in the development of polyurethane, polyurea and hybrid coating systems, along with primers for use on various substrates. These products help enhance the processability and performance of coatings and primers, providing superior physical properties chemical resistance and durability.

With the industry moving to low VOC, water-based and high solid products, the Huntsman Performance Products division is “zeroing in” with its JEFFAMINE® polyetheramines and JEFFSPERSE® dispersant technologies.
Performance Products will highlight its JEFFSPERSE® pigment and universal dispersion technologies, which has been shown to enhance various water-borne, solvent-borne, and UV-curable systems for graphic arts, publishing, packaging, and coatings applications.

Huntsman can develop customized solutions to meet a formulator’s specific needs with our patented JEFFSPERSE® dispersant technology platform and global R&D assets. In addition, SURFONAMINE® specialty amines are also used as pigment modifiers and chemical intermediates for synthesis of speciality dispersion systems. The JEFFAMINE® polyetheramine family consists of monoamines (M series), diamines (D series) and triamines (T series) products, all based on core polyether backbone structure. JEFFAMINE® polyetheramines are used to modify epoxy resins for low VOC, water-based and 100% solids coating systems. As one of the world’s largest amine producers, Huntsman Performance Products has strong capability in molecular design, and the world’s most extensive selection of polyetheramines, many of which are unavailable elsewhere.

ARA®, JEFFAMINE®, JEFFSPERSE®, RUBINATE®, SURFONAMINE® and SUPRASEC®  are registered trademarks of Huntsman Corporation or an affiliate thereof in one or more, but not all, countries.
