Huntsman launches new generation of branded adhesive products for the global engineered wood panel industry

The Woodlands, TX – The Polyurethanes division of Huntsman Corporation (NYSE:HUN) today announced the launch of a new generation of branded adhesive products for the global engineered wood panel industry.

I-BOND® adhesives are a family of MDI-based, zero-added formaldehyde resins for use in the manufacture of oriented strand board (OSB), medium density fiberboard (MDF), particleboard (PB) and wood fiber insulation board (WFIB).  I-RELEASE® release agents can be utilized on either continuous or multi-daylight presses and can be applied either internally or externally.

 “These new product brands show our commitment to the engineered wood panel industry by continuing to develop innovative, specialty grades of MDI adhesives, supported by a complementary range of release agents” said Greg Geaman, Vice President Americas for Huntsman’s Polyurethanes division and global sponsor for the division’s engineered wood panels business.

“Our latest generation of fast cure and emulsifiable I-BOND® adhesive resins and our new range of complementary I-RELEASE® release agents, are the latest step in our determined strategy to give customers the tailored products they need to solve specific problems and reach new markets, whilst increasing their profitability” he added.
 
The new product brands will be supported in the market by Huntsman’s service-oriented team of composite wood panel experts, including dedicated industrial hygiene specialists.
