Huntsman to highlight wide range of polyurethanes market solutions at PU Tech India 2008

Huntsman Polyurethanes will be exhibiting at PU Tech 2008 in Noida India, from March 12-14, highlighting the extensive range of MDI-based polyurethane solutions the company can offer to India’s dynamic manufacturing market, in particular with regard to insulation for construction and automotive.

Throughout the three-day exhibition, local representatives and polyurethane specialists from the global chemical company will be on hand on stands 005 – 008 in Hall 1, giving expert advice to new and existing customers. The team will highlight breadth of support if can offer in the region to construction, footwear and coating developers and will also launch a brand new product to the Indian automotive market - ACOUSTIFLEX® S. Designed specifically for under-bonnet applications, this light-weight absorber technology meets growing regional interest within India for acoustic solutions that can help reduce vehicle noise emissions – particularly in diesel cars.

During PU Tech Huntsman will present three technical papers:

- Oliver Kuisle, product manager, will present a paper on ACOUSTIFLEX® S technology at the exhibition. The presentation, entitled “Acoustic absorbers, growth of novel acoustically active PU materials in automotive” will focus on the European automotive market, the key features determining acoustic absorption of materials and the opportunities for this in the Indian market.

- Kristof Dedecker, marketing and technology manager, will speak on “Sandwich panels; supporting growth with an established and proven technology”.  This describes the main technical choices to be made for the sandwich panel market in India, based on long-term European experiences by Huntsman.

- Dimitri Leroy, technical manager adhesives, will present a paper entitled: “Bonding skins, polyurethane adhesives in panel construction.”  This describes Huntsman’s dedicated range of adhesives for continuous panel laminating, including processability, performance on different substrates and application techniques.
