They are strictly regulated in the EU and must be clearly labeled in product safety documents. This is why Huntsman has replaced all ingredients that are currently classified as CMR in the new generation formulation products.
Formulations containing BPA (Bisphenol A) can pose health and environmental risks, and are facing public disapproval. This is why Huntsman is limiting the use of BPA whenever possible, and why the newly reformulated products do not contain any intentionally added BPA.
The new reformulations have the same technical performance as the previous products. Huntsman has carried out comprehensive side by side testing and has prepared equivalency testing reports for our customers to use to ease the transition to the new-generation formulations.
Should customers require additional testing, Huntsman has made qualification samples available, and our technical support team is ready to assist.

Whether you're switching from one of our legacy products to the new generation, or moving from another CMR-classified epoxy adhesive, we've prepared sample materials and technical documentation to make the transition to our latest formulations easy for you.
The legacy product formulations – ARALDITE® 2012, 2013-1, 2014-2, 2015-1, 2020, and AV 138 M-2 – will be available until the end of 2026.
