How to Extend the Life of Composite Armor in the Hottest Environments
Composite anti-ballistic armor is key to protecting law enforcement and military personnel around the world. With traditional composite armor, exposure to higher temperatures degrades armor’s performance. To address the elevated temperature issues, Advanced Armor Research Group has partnered with Huntsman Advanced Materials to develop an advanced resin system, combined with AARG’s structurally engineered composite armor systems, to provide panels with improved damage resistance and thermal-performance properties - thereby extending the lifetime of the armor panels.
