Application: Bonding Internal Parts in an MRI Scanner with ARALDITE® 2014-2 Adhesive

Make precisely positioned bonds with less risk of shrinkage. 

The Challenge
Bonding critical components to a GRP tube in an MRI scanner. 

The Solution
To ensure precise and reliable positioning, components are bonded to the GRP tube using the ARALDITE® 2014-2 adhesive.
This is followed by the injection of an encapsulation resin system (also supplied by us) which can cure at high temperatures.

The intrinsic temperature resistance of the adhesive allows it to resist the curing temperature of the injected resin system. The cartridge format of ARALDITE® 2014-2 adhesive makes it easy to use in confined spaces, and the low shrinkage rate allows for tight tolerances.
